ABOUT
ME

My name is Caroline Barclay, I am a rising senior out of Roswell, Georgia, and have ridden for over 7 years. Riding is more than just a sport for me; it is a lifestyle. I didn't grow up with horses in my backyard, but I went looking for them.

I have been a working student for over 2 years, developing my skills and gaining valuable experience in catch riding. It has taught me how to adjust quickly to various horses and assist in bringing out the best in them. I am driven every day by the opportunity to improve my skills and learn from anyone, 4-legged and 2-legged.

Having had the privilege to compete in IEA for 6 years, I have learned not to ride for myself, but for my team. The love and support I have experienced with the girls has created a camaraderie that I believe is unique to the equestrian sport. We come together and work from sunrise to sunset until every last task is complete. We experience each win and each loss together and support each other no matter the outcome. As I embark on the next chapter of my life, I am eager to further develop this camaraderie in the collegiate arena which presents an opportunity to continue to immerse myself in a team of like-minded individuals who share this passion and dedication to both the horses and the sport.
